Worship

We are a broad all-age Church working to meet the needs of the community.  We worship in a beautiful, ancient and much loved building and the wonderful new Oxted Community Hall, OCH.  We hold a variety of styles of worship through the week; from the quieter more traditional 8am said Sunday communion and mid week communion, to the main Parish Communion at 9.30am, plus lively, modern worship in our Sunday Café service with coffee and cake from 4pm worship starting at 4.30pm. Both 9.30am and 4.30pm services offer children's groups during term time.

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 many of our small groups are currently suspended. Some of the things we are usually organising include:

Bible study groups.

We meet in people's homes midweek to build community, read (and talk about) the Bible and pray together. There is also one just for 15-18 year olds.

Youth group is meeting monthly at St John's Hurst Green.

You can help prepare our church for worship as part of the choir, bell ringers, cleaners and flower arrangers groups and even have a gardening group.

St Mary's Meeting Place

Our weekly drop-in coffee morning held on Fridays from 9.30am at the Oxted Community Hall. If you are at home during the week, do call in for a slice of homemade cake and a chat - we'd love to see you.

St Mary's Monkeys

Our fun filled morning for toddlers, babies and those looking after them with coffee, cake, juice and children's fruit snacks in the Oxted Community Hall.

<span style="font-size: 1rem;">At Home</span>

Home communion, communion in the homes for the elderly and visiting is organized by teams.  Home cooked, home delivered meals are provided for our new mums.

<span style="font-size: 1rem;">Community</span>

We have strong links with our Church Primary School and look forward to their visits to church and our joint fair. Oxted has strong ecumenical links between its churches and worshippers.  We come together for worship, Lent groups, a Good Friday Walk of Witness and as the Oxted Pilgrims walking group.

 <span style="font-size: 1rem;">Welcome</span>

We look forward to welcoming everyone, regulars and visitors alike, to our services and groups.  We aim to have something for everyone! Please contact the office for more information or visit our own church website where you will find our weekly bulletin, calendar of events and lots more about us including our special Christmas and Easter services and also our social events.
