I was about to renew my mortgage through Halifax, as I thought it would be easy and they’d give me a preferential rate being an existing customer. I thought I’d quickly check with Tom first to see if he could find me a better option and he managed to get me a new mortgage for 1% cheaper than Halifax were quoting me…and it was even with Halifax. Well worth dropping him a line just to check before you renew your mortgage, as it saved me hundreds every month
